The tuning fork density meter measurement system operates based on the principle of tuning fork vibration measurement. This vibrating element is similar to a two tooth tuning fork, where the fork vibrates due to a piezoelectric crystal located at the root of the tooth. 

The frequency of the vibration is detected by another piezoelectric crystal, which is inversely proportional to the density of the process fluid. The processor calculates the density signal based on this relationship.
